Wrinkle Relaxers

Wrinkle relaxers temporarily relax the muscles of the face that contract and cause wrinkles. These neurotoxins work by preventing the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction therefore blocking the signal that causes muscle contraction.

Everyone responds differently to neurotoxins but typically the results are visible 5-7 days after treatment and continue to improve and take full effect at 2 weeks, typically lasting 3-4 months.

Most common areas to inject Neurotoxin include forehead lines, ’11” lines between the brows, and “crow’s feet” are the lines around the eyes.

    Avoid Blood-Thinning Medications: Some medications and supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and certain herbal supplements, can increase the risk of bruising or bleeding. Avoid consuming alcohol and tobacco for a few days before.
    Lines and wrinkles will soften over the next few days. You will begin to see results in 5-7days, with full results in 2 weeks.
    Neuromodulators are injected into the treated areas with tiny needles, causing the muscles to slow down movement temporarily.
    They typically last about 3-4 months.
    Neuromodulators usually have minimal downtime. After your neuromodulator treatment, you might experience some redness and mild swelling. Best to avoid strenuous activities for 24 hrs post treatment.
