Who we are

Lena Berlin, PA-C

Founder, CEO

Lena is a board-certified, licensed Physician Associate. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant (PA) Studies in Manhattan and has been in practice since 2008, with extensive experience in Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency Medicine.

Her love for aesthetics inspired her to attain several certifications in aesthetic medicine, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, advanced facial aesthetics, as well as advanced facial anatomy cadaver training. Lena also holds a board certification in Aesthetics from the American Academy of Procedural Medicine.

The vision of Berlin Beauty was born and created with a mission to help others improve their self-confidence and become the best form of themselves. Her conservative approach allows her to create natural, but effective results. Her work can best be described as the perfect blend of art and science that is balanced, beautiful, and precise. Lena specializes in natural-looking results, optimizing each person’s individual beauty.

Lena’s dedication, passion for learning, aesthetic eye, ability to balance proportions, in addition to her gentle hands and warm personality and hard-working nature are what makes her unique.

Lena is passionate about health and wellness, with interest in interior design, cooking, learning new things, dancing, languages, and traveling with her husband and three kids.

Dr. Lynnea Villanova

Medical Director

Dr. Lynnea Villanova brings over 30 years of clinical experience to her role as Medical Director. Board-certified in Family Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. She has owned, operated, and consulted for aesthetic, integrative medical, and pain management practices since the early 2000s. She previously served as Physician Advisor to the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board and is one of the region’s most experienced practitioners of integrated Western–Asian medicine –– including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Ayurveda

Alongside aesthetic medicine, her expertise spans internal medical, neurological and gynecologic conditions, pain, allergy desensitization, and emotional wellness—drawing from both Eastern and Western modalities to deliver thoughtful, individualized care. Dr. Villanova has held clinical faculty appointments at New York Presbyterian and St. Joseph’s hospitals, provided pediatric, adult, and obstetrical care, and lectured at the UNC School of Medicine.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Villanova is a published poet and essayist, a semi-professional musician performing in New York City, and the creator, co-author, and producer of an original interdisciplinary theater work exploring healing and neuromodulation.
